Bouloo collects the following data: identity (first name, last name, profile photo), email, phone, job address, location (only at your request, to suggest jobs near you), photos attached to jobs, messages exchanged in the App and payment data (processed by Stripe, never stored on our servers). For Students: photo of the student card, selfie, university email, institution, field and level of study. This data is used for matching and profile verification.
Your data is used to: connect Clients and Students, verify student profiles, secure payments and pay out Students, prevent fraud, send notifications about your jobs and improve the service.
Messages exchanged in Bouloo may be analysed automatically to hide contact details (phone number, email, bank details, links) until a Student has been chosen, and to detect offers of payment outside the App. In the event of a report or an alert, the Bouloo team may read the messages concerned, solely to keep users safe. For this purpose, these messages are kept only for as long as necessary to handle the report.
Processing is based on: performance of the contract (Article 6.1.b GDPR) for data needed to run the service (identity, payment, messages), your consent (Article 6.1.a) for location and photos, and Bouloo's legitimate interest (Article 6.1.f) for profile verification and fraud prevention. Verification documents (student card, selfie) are kept for the duration of the verification and at most for the life of the account.
Bouloo uses: Supabase Inc. (data hosting, EU servers), Stripe Inc. (payments and payouts, PCI-DSS certified) and Firebase / Google (push notifications). All our processors are bound by GDPR-compliant contractual obligations. Bouloo never sells your personal data. Only anonymous statistics, which cannot identify you, may be shared (see “Anonymous statistics”).
From the activity of the service, Bouloo produces aggregated statistics: for example average prices by type of job and city, weekly demand or students' age ranges. These statistics contain no name, contact details, message, document or precise address, and every result groups at least 5 people: they cannot identify you. Bouloo may use them to improve the service and share or sell them to partners (market research, local authorities, student employment organisations). These partners contractually commit never to try to identify anyone.
If the Bouloo business is sold or taken over by another company, your data may be transferred to it so that it can keep providing the same service, in line with this policy. You will be informed in advance by email and in the app, and you will be able to delete your account before the transfer.
The App only uses technical trackers strictly necessary for it to work (session, preferences). No advertising trackers are used. Anonymised audience measurement may be added, only with your consent, in line with CNIL recommendations.
Under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectify, erase, port, object to and restrict the processing of your data. You can delete your account and all your data at any time from "My account › Delete my account". For any other request, write to contact@bouloo.com. You may also lodge a complaint with the CNIL (French data-protection authority).
